The Team Behind the Science Expertise to Move Research Forward

Our team combines deep expertise in Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies with experience in experimental neuroscience, clinical research, biomarker development, international collaboration, and project execution. Together, we develop focused research questions, build the right scientific partnerships, and move projects from concept to measurable progress.

American Friends of ParkinsonFonds Deutschland is making early Parkinson’s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies a research priority.

We develop and advance focused research projects to identify the disease earlier, understand the biological processes that drive Lewy body pathology, and create disease-modifying therapies designed for the stage when nerve cells may still be protected.
