A Transatlantic Partnership for Research

Scientific progress depends on the exchange of ideas, expertise, and technologies across institutions and national borders. Together, we aim to connect donors, researchers, and leading scientific institutions in the United States, Germany, and beyond. By supporting collaborative research and international research visits, we seek to create new opportunities for both early-career and established scientists.

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Our name reflects our close connection to ParkinsonFonds Deutschland and our shared scientific purpose. American Friends of ParkinsonFonds Deutschland extends this mission across the Atlantic by engaging supporters in the United States and strengthening international collaboration in Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia research.
